Just hear those sleigh bells jinglin’, ring ting tinglin’ too…. Who’s ready for Christmas? I know I am! And I’ve got a really cute Christmas party idea for you today!

Christmas Cookie Exchange Party

I love how during the holiday season, there are tons of different parties for you to enjoy.  There are classroom parties, Breakfasts with Santa, ornament exchanges, and so much more! But, my favorite is the cookie exchange party! When I was a little girl, my favorite Christmas memories were always of the yummy treats that my grandmothers made. So, I wanted to have a cookie exchange party this year!

dsc_4348If you don’t know what a cookie exchange party is, it’s actually really fun and easy! All your guests bring their own cookie or treat. It doesn’t have to be homemade, it can just be their favorite. Then, everyone gets a little of everyone else’s cookies! It’s a great way to bring variety to your Christmas treats.

Shindigz has a really fun collection called “Sweater Weather” and it’s the perfect theme for a cookie exchange party! And the best part? You can personalize it with your name, the name of your school, or your friend group, or really anyone! I mixed it with some rustic touches to make it the perfect holiday party theme!dsc_4387

When I saw these Sweater Weather NOEL Cube blocks, I knew they would be the centerpiece of my party. How FUN are these? When they are all stacked up, they are over 6 feet tall. Now, that’s a big impact for your party!

Since it rarely ever snows in my party of the world, I wanted it to at least look like snow! So, I started my table design by bringing in some “snow” by using white floral sheeting around the bottom of my table. I topped the table with this beautiful Tartan table cover. It’s the most beautiful plaid of red, white, and navy. I mixed this plaid with lots of differing plaids in this party, to give it some depth and interest.

As the centerpiece of my table, I had to have this Plaid Deer Set. They are so cute that I can barely stand it. Their tails are glittered pine cones and their antlers are glittered branches. On either side of the deer, I also used two pairs of Winter Wooden Trees. They matched the location of my party perfectly, which was an old log cabin in my city.

Above the deer, I hung this Sweater Weather Joy Banner. There are SO many cute components to this collection. I wish I could have used all of them!

I love giving my guests something fun to take home with them. And what goes better with Christmas cookies than hot cocoa? I personalized these packets of hot cocoa mix and sent them home with the guests.

They also had to have something to drink the cocoa in, right? So, I also personalized these Travel Mugs as a fun favor! I even added a cute gingerbread cookie to the design, to match the gingerbread cookies at the cookie exchange.

And, we had to have something to take the cookies home in, right? I personalized these Sweater Weather Cookie Tins for all my guests. They are big and roomy and you can fit a bunch of treats in there! I lined mine with some coordinating plaid fabric. My favorite part is that the personalization isn’t a sticker, it’s printed right on the top of the tin, so it makes for a great keepsake you can use over and over!

Have a Happy Holiday season!
